Support financial reporting and budget processes **Job Summary** The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s financial records, ensuring accurate accounting operations, compliance with internal policies, and supporting financial reporting. The role requires strong experience in inventory\-based business environments such as lighting, electrical, or smart home solutions. **Key Responsibilities1\. Financial Accounting \& Reporting** * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. * Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in the accounting system. * Assist in closing monthly accounts and reconciliation processes. * Prepare management reports including profit \& loss, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis. **2\. Inventory \& Cost Accounting** * Monitor and reconcile inventory valuation in coordination with warehouse and procurement teams. * Track cost of goods sold (COGS) for lighting products, smart devices, and project\-based materials. * Ensure proper allocation of project costs and margins. **3\. Accounts Payable \& Receivable** * Supervise supplier payments and ensure accuracy of invoices and supporting documents. * Monitor customer receivables and follow up on overdue payments. * Reconcile vendor and customer statements regularly. **4\. Budgeting \& Forecasting** * Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts. * Monitor budget vs actual performance and highlight variances. * Support management in financial decision\-making. **5\. Compliance \& Audit** * Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. * Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide required documentation. * Maintain proper financial records for audit and regulatory purposes. **6\. ERP \& System Management** * Maintain and improve accounting data in ERP systems (e.g., Odoo or similar). * Ensure accurate posting of journal entries and system integrity. * Support system improvements related to finance and inventory modules. **7\. Coordination \& Support** * Work closely with procurement, sales, warehouse, and project teams. * Provide financial insights for projects, tenders, and pricing decisions. * Support senior management with financial analysis as needed. **Qualifications \& Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA preferred). * 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading, lighting, electrical, or smart home industry. * Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles. * Experience in inventory accounting and project\-based costing. * Proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, or similar). * Strong analytical and reporting skills. * Advanced Excel skills. * Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. **Preferred Skills** * Experience in multi\-branch or retail \+ project\-based environments. * Knowledge of import/export transactions. * Ability to communicate effectively in English (Arabic is an advantage). * Strong problem\-solving and business awareness.
