Job Summary: The Network Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, availability, and performance optimization. Collaboration with cybersecurity, systems, and technical support teams. **Job Objective:** The Network Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, availability, and performance optimization in alignment with business requirements and established technical standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, implementation, and management of local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure **LAN/WAN**. * Installation, configuration, and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. * Monitoring of network performance, identification of faults and issues, and resolution. * Management of network protocols such as **TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and VPN**. * Implementation and maintenance of wired and wireless communication networks. * Management and interconnection of branches, enterprise sites, and data centers according to operational requirements. * Conducting troubleshooting and root cause analysis. * Executing updates, upgrades, and routine maintenance of network components. * Monitoring bandwidth utilization and network performance, identifying scalability requirements. * Implementation of network security policies, firewall management, and access control systems. * Configuration setup and review, including backup of network device configurations. * Documentation of network diagrams, configurations, devices, IP addresses, and connections. * Utilizing network monitoring tools to detect issues before they impact users. * Collaborating with cybersecurity, systems, and technical support teams to resolve technical issues. * Participating in IT infrastructure development and expansion projects. * Evaluating new hardware and technical solutions and recommending appropriate upgrades. * Coordinating with internet service providers, telecommunications providers, and network equipment vendors. * Monitoring service level agreements (**SLA**) and ensuring required performance levels are met. * Contributing to network-related business continuity and disaster recovery plans. * Preparing technical reports related to network performance, faults, and maintenance. * Compliance with information security policies, safety standards, and approved procedures in Kuwait. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field. * **3 to 6 years** of experience in network infrastructure management. * Practical experience with **Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba**, or equivalent devices. * Strong knowledge of **LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN, Routing, and Switching** technologies. * Experience with network monitoring and performance management systems. * Solid understanding of network security, firewalls, and access control systems. * CCNA or CCNP certification, or equivalent professional certifications, is preferred. * Knowledge of cloud networking and data center technologies is an advantage. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation and network management tools. * Fluency in English; Arabic language proficiency is preferred. **Skills and Competencies:** * Network infrastructure design and management. * Troubleshooting. * Network device management. * Network security and infrastructure protection. * Network performance monitoring and analysis. * Technical project management. * Problem-solving and analytical thinking. * Technical planning and documentation. * Communication and coordination with technical teams and vendors. * Time management and prioritization. * Accuracy and attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency outages.
