Job Purpose:
The Environmental Quality Analyst monitors and evaluates environmental quality, analyzes environmental samples and data, and ensures compliance with applicable environmental standards and regulations in the State of Kuwait. The role also contributes to identifying environmental risks and proposing corrective and improvement measures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect air, water, soil, and waste samples according to approved procedures and standards.
Conduct environmental analyses and tests, interpret results, and prepare technical reports.
Monitor air, water, and soil quality indicators and environmental pollutant levels.
Analyze environmental data to identify trends, risks, and non-conformities.
Ensure compliance with local and international environmental regulations and standards.
Carry out environmental inspections and assessments at workplaces and facilities.
Monitor emissions, discharges, and waste levels and ensure compliance with permissible limits.
Assist in investigating environmental incidents and issues and identifying their root causes.
Propose corrective and preventive actions to address environmental issues.
Prepare periodic reports on environmental quality, analysis results, and measurements.
Maintain accurate records of test results, samples, and environmental data.
Use environmental measurement and monitoring equipment and ensure its calibration and validity.
Coordinate with laboratories, competent authorities, and environmental service providers as needed.
Contribute to developing and reviewing environmental management and monitoring plans.
Support regulatory audits, compliance checks, and inspections.
Raise employee awareness of sound environmental practices and reduce environmental risks and impacts.
Monitor implementation of waste and hazardous materials management procedures in accordance with environmental requirements.
Adhere to occupational health and safety procedures during sample collection and fieldwork.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Engineering or related field.
Salary: KWD1,200.000 per month
