Collaborative, entrepreneurial environment valuing technical excellence. **Job Title: Civil Engineer – KWT (Bilingual)** **Job Code: Civil Engineer – KWT (Bilingual)** **Company:** Zaleej Real Estate Company (KSCC) **Department:** Project Management **Reports To:** CEO **ABOUT US** Zaleej Real Estate Company (KSCC) is the Kuwait real estate company that manages a diversified portfolio of commercial and residential properties across Kuwait, combining institutional\-grade asset management with hands\-on operational excellence. **ROLE OVERVIEW** The Civil Engineer provides the technical engineering backbone for Zaleej’s development projects, covering site investigation, infrastructure design, construction drawings, and on\-site technical supervision across residential, commercial, and mixed\-use developments in Kuwait. Working alongside the Project Manager, the role owns the engineering quality and code compliance of each project — from soil reports and site plans through to as\-built documentation. Success in this role is measured by design quality, regulatory compliance, technical issue resolution speed, and the seamless coordination of consultants, contractors, and authorities. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **Site Investigation \& Design** * Conduct comprehensive site investigations, analysing topographical surveys, soil conditions, and environmental factors to determine site suitability for development. * Design site infrastructure including roads, utilities, drainage systems, retaining structures, and site grading. * Develop detailed site plans that optimise land use while ensuring compliance with Kuwait Municipality zoning regulations and the Kuwait Engineering Code. **Drawings \& Technical Documentation** * Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents to professional standards. * Review and approve contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. * Maintain accurate as\-built drawings and technical project records throughout the construction lifecycle. **Construction Technical Oversight** * Provide on\-site technical supervision to ensure construction works conform to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. * Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues, design clarifications, and RFIs raised by contractors and consultants. * Identify and mitigate technical risks during construction, recommending value engineering opportunities where appropriate. **Regulatory Compliance \& Permitting** * Ensure all projects comply with Kuwait Municipality regulations, the Kuwait Engineering Code, and applicable national environmental, fire, and safety standards (EPA, MPW, Civil Defence). * Prepare and submit permit applications, engineering drawings, and technical reports to relevant Kuwait authorities. * Liaise with Municipality, MPW, EPA, Civil Defence, and utility providers (MEW) to secure required approvals. **Coordination \& Technical Support** * Coordinate closely with architects, MEP engineers, structural consultants, quantity surveyors, and surveyors to integrate disciplines and resolve technical clashes. * Support the Project Manager with engineering inputs to cost estimates, scheduling, and risk assessments. * Provide technical expertise to internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve construction\-related challenges. **REQUIREMENTS** **Essential (Must\-Have)** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. * Active membership of the Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE), or eligibility to register within a defined timeframe. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering, with a focus on real estate development or construction projects in Kuwait or the GCC. * Strong working knowledge of Kuwait’s building regulations, the Kuwait Engineering Code, Municipality approvals, and construction safety standards. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software. * Demonstrated experience in site planning, infrastructure design, drainage, and construction supervision. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with attention to technical detail. * Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) — essential for liaising with authorities, consultants, and contractors. * Valid Kuwait driving license and transferable Article 18 residency visa. **Preferred (Nice\-to\-Have)** * Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. * Working knowledge of Revit, BIM workflows, and clash detection tools. * Experience with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications (e.g. LEED, ESTIDAMA). * Familiarity with the real estate market in Kuwait and the wider GCC. * Established network of contacts within Kuwait’s consultant, contractor, and government engineering community. **WHAT WE OFFER** * Opportunity to work on a meaningful pipeline of development projects within a principal\-led, long\-term investment group. * Hands\-on technical exposure across the full project lifecycle — from site investigation through to handover. * A collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that values technical excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement. **HOW TO APPLY** Apply via the online application form: Select “Civil Engineer \- KWT (Bilingual)” as the job position and reference code when completing the form.
