Job Summary: The Network Operations Analyst is responsible for monitoring, operating, and analyzing network performance, as well as identifying and resolving issues to ensure network stability, availability, and security. Providing technical support and analyzing performance metrics to improve infrastructure **Purpose of the Role:** The Network Operations Analyst monitors, operates, and analyzes enterprise network performance; identifies, diagnoses, and resolves faults and issues; ensures network stability, availability, and security; provides technical support; and analyzes performance metrics to enhance network infrastructure efficiency. **Key Responsibilities and Duties:** * Continuously monitor network and system performance and detect faults and issues. * Analyze network alerts and operational events to determine root causes of problems. * Diagnose connectivity and network performance issues and implement appropriate corrective actions. * Monitor network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. * Monitor bandwidth utilization, data traffic, and network performance levels. * Analyze network logs and performance data to identify trends and potential risks. * Handle technical support tickets and escalate complex issues to specialized network teams. * Perform troubleshooting procedures in accordance with approved operational procedures. * Monitor network availability, service levels, and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA). * Prepare periodic reports on network performance, faults, incidents, and key performance indicators. * Utilize network monitoring, performance analysis, and alert management tools. * Contribute to implementing network changes, updates, and scheduled maintenance. * Document network configurations, incidents, actions taken, and solutions. * Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and infrastructure teams to address shared issues. * Monitor critical security events and report anomalous activities to the security team. * Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery testing related to networks. * Assist in optimizing network performance and identifying requirements for expansion and upgrades. * Comply with organizational information security policies and approved change management procedures. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field. * **2 to 5 years** of experience in network operations or a Network Operations Center (NOC). * Solid knowledge of networking protocols such as **TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and SNMP**. * Experience with **Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba**, or equivalent devices is preferred. * Familiarity with network monitoring systems such as **SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, or Nagios**. * Knowledge of fundamental routing, switching, and local/wide area networks (**LAN/WAN**). * **CCNA** or equivalent network certification is preferred. * Basic knowledge of network security and firewalls is advantageous. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools. * Fluency in English; Arabic language proficiency is preferred. * Willingness to work on rotating shifts when required. **Skills and Competencies:** * Monitoring and analyzing network performance. * Troubleshooting. * Incident and alert analysis. * Network and infrastructure management. * Data and log analysis. * Incident and ticket management. * Problem-solving and analytical thinking. * Communication and coordination with technical teams. * Time management and prioritization. * Accuracy and attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
