Training and guiding the operations team to improve performance and productivity Purpose of the Role: The Logistics Operations Supervisor oversees daily transportation, storage, and distribution operations, ensuring efficient and timely movement of goods and materials, while managing the operations team and coordinating with suppliers, customers, and internal departments. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Supervising daily logistics operations and ensuring smooth workflow. Organizing and tracking goods receipt, storage, preparation, shipment, and delivery. Overseeing transportation and distribution operations and ensuring adherence to delivery schedules. Assigning tasks to operations staff and technicians and monitoring their performance. Coordinating with transport companies, drivers, and logistics service providers as needed. Monitoring transportation and storage costs and assisting in improving operational efficiency. Preparing periodic reports on shipments, deliveries, and logistics performance. Tracking financial KPIs and customer service metrics. Evaluating the performance of transport companies and service providers and submitting relevant recommendations. Training and guiding the operations team and enhancing performance and productivity levels. Complying with applicable Kuwaiti customs, transportation, and logistics regulations and procedures. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 4–7 years of experience in logistics operations, transportation, or warehouse management. Prior experience supervising operations teams. Strong knowledge of transportation, distribution, storage, and inventory management processes. Experience using ERP / WMS / TMS systems is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Good understanding of safety, transportation, and logistics procedures in Kuwait. Fluency in English; familiarity with key logistics operations KPIs. Ensuring compliance with safety procedures during loading, unloading, transportation, and storage. Coordinating with Procurement, Sales, Warehousing, and Logistics Services departments. Tracking shipments and ensuring timely arrival at designated destinations. Addressing delays and operational issues and implementing appropriate corrective actions. Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with warehouses to ensure accuracy in receipt and issuance processes. Verifying the accuracy of shipping documents, delivery notes, invoices, and transport orders. Using transport and warehouse management systems and ERP systems to update operational data. Monitoring vehicle and transport equipment performance and coordinating maintenance. Salary: KWD1,100.000 per month Work Location: On-site
