Job Summary The Quality Assurance (QA) Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of software applications by planning, designing, and executing test cases. This role identifies defects, verifies fixes, and collaborates with developers, business analysts, and project teams to ensure that software products meet business requirements, quality standards, and user expectations before release. Key Responsibilities * Review business and functional requirements to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases. * Execute manual and/or automated testing for web, mobile, desktop, and enterprise applications. * Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools. * Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support. * Validate bug fixes and ensure reported issues are resolved before deployment. * Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues. * Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports. * Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies when applicable. * Ensure software complies with quality standards, security requirements, and performance expectations. * Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and testing frameworks where applicable. * Report testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness to project stakeholders. * Recommend process improvements to enhance software quality and testing efficiency. * Perform other quality assurance duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. * Proven experience in software testing or quality assurance. * Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). * Experience with manual testing methodologies and defect reporting. * Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Bugzilla). * Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation. * Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and troubleshooting skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar frameworks. * Knowledge of API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools. * Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. * Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. * ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent QA certification is an advantage. * Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C\#.
