





Key Responsibilities: * **Team Leadership:** Assign daily tasks, manage workflow, provide technical guidance, mentor welders, and ensure team productivity. * **Quality Control:** Inspect welds for adherence to specifications, blueprints, and industry codes (AWS, ASME); troubleshoot quality issues. * **Safety Management:** Implement and enforce site\-specific safety protocols, manage OH\&S (Occupational Health \& Safety), and report incidents. * **Planning \& Coordination:** Develop welding plans, manage resources (materials, consumables, equipment), and coordinate with engineering/management. * **Documentation:** Maintain records, prepare reports on productivity, quality, and safety, and manage WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications). Essential Skills \& Qualifications: * Extensive hands\-on welding experience (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, etc.). * Strong understanding of welding symbols, metallurgy, and materials. * Leadership, communication, and problem\-solving skills. * Knowledge of industry codes (e.g., AWS, ASME) and standards. * Relevant certifications (e.g., CSWIP, AS1796/AS2214\) are often required. Typical Environment: * Construction sites, shipyards, fabrication shops, manufacturing plants. * May involve working in diverse conditions, including over water or in temporary settings.
