Collaborative, innovative, and engineering-focused work environment Software Engineering Manager **Company:** Softhelpers **Location:** Salem Al Mubarak Street, Salmiya, Hawalli, Hawalli Governorate, Kuwait **Salary:** **KWD 2,400 per month** Job Summary Softhelpers is seeking an experienced and technically strong **Software Engineering Manager** to lead software development teams and oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of high\-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with people leadership, project management, and strategic planning to deliver reliable and scalable applications that support business objectives. Key Responsibilities * Lead, mentor, and develop software engineers, technical leads, and development teams. * Manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance. * Define engineering strategies, development standards, coding practices, and technical processes. * Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver software projects successfully. * Establish project priorities, development schedules, milestones, and resource plans. * Review system architectures, technical designs, code quality, and engineering solutions. * Promote best practices in software development, testing, security, scalability, and performance. * Monitor engineering KPIs, project progress, delivery timelines, and team performance. * Identify technical risks and implement effective solutions to maintain project quality and continuity. * Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices. * Manage engineering budgets, tools, software resources, and external technology vendors when required. * Support recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and professional development of engineering staff. * Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve product quality and development efficiency. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. * Minimum of **7 years** of professional software development experience, including at least **3 years** in an engineering management or technical leadership role. * Strong experience with modern software development methodologies, system architecture, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices. * Experience managing Agile/Scrum development teams and delivering complex software projects. * Proficiency in one or more programming ecosystems such as Java, C\#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar technologies. * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is highly desirable. * Excellent leadership, communication, problem\-solving, organizational, and decision\-making skills. * Strong understanding of software security, scalability, performance optimization, and quality assurance.
