**TITLE: SCIENCE TEACHER** **Primary purpose:** To create a flexible elementary class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members. **Responsibilities:** * Proficiency in use of Microsoft email and office programs * Teaches core subjects to bilingual students in grades 1\-5 using an American curriculum and standards; evaluates students and prepares reports. * Administers and develops subject specific assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning plans. * Forms lesson plans and instructional materials that provide individualized and whole group instruction for the needs of each student. * Uses a variety of instruction strategies: adaptable for online and on\-campus environments * Communicates with parents on a regular to discuss students’ progress. * Collaborates with colleagues in committees to gather ideas on the successful implementation of curriculum **Qualifications:** * Minimum of 2 years of related work experience * Excellent time management skills and ability to multi\-task and prioritize work * Attention to detail and problem\-solving skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong organizational and planning skills * Bachelor’s Degree **About American Baccalaureate School:** ABS is a private, non\-profit school offering an American\-based curriculum including a wide variety of advanced courses, and a college preparatory program, guiding students to become independent, intellectual global citizens.
